We all get the same 24 hours a day, so why do some people get 10 times more work completed within that same period of time? Successful entrepreneurs or business owners have particular habits or routines that maximize their time management.
Here are 5 things you can do today to become more productive:
Number 1: Get 10 things done before 10am.
If you get 10 things done before 10am, you already feel like you’ve accomplished something really, really big.
Number 2: Block your day into 30-minute segments.
Take your daily schedule, whatever that schedule looks like, and divide the day into 30-minute segments. If this is too much of a challenge, start off with 60-minute segments and note what you spend time on. As you get better, you’ll become more self-disciplined
Number 3: Plan the night before.
If you plan the night before, you’re already set up for the next day. You’ve already done the groundwork and you’ll be able to start the day feeling really prepared.
Number 4: Make a stop-doing list.
Make a list of all the things that take up a lot of your time and identify those items that you can delegate. This can help you save time.
Number 5: Take at least 36 hours to do absolutely nothing.
On a Saturday, I tend to finish my day at 12 noon, and then I don’t go back to my computer until at least six or 7am Monday morning. The reason for that is because I need time to switch off. I need time to reflect and see what I’ve accomplished and what are the wins of the week and what improvements I can make.
